Happy 2015! We’re still recovering from a fantastic holiday season full of good food, drinks, party planning and loved ones. But we’re pulling ourselves out of our post-holiday stupor to share another one of our awesome ReBash vendors with you. Kathleen creates fantastic DIY crafty goodness over at Snowdrop and Company. We are particularly fond of her tendency to repurpose unique items from unexpected places.
Enjoy and come meet and shop Snowdrop and Company in person at ReBash.

RB: Tell us what it is you do.
SDC: I make DIY crafts for parties, holidays, gifts, and home decor at my blog Snowdrop & Company. I am also a DIY contributor at Oh Happy Day.

RB: How did you get started doing this?
SDC: While in school for Theatre Production (I wanted to be a prop builder) I started following craft blogs and fell in love with the online community. It took me a little while to get involved and start my own blog but I'm so happy I did! I liked building props and costumes at my previous theatre jobs but I love dreaming up DIY projects even more.

RB: What is your favourite part of your job?
SDC: My favourite part of my job is using unexpected objects in craft projects. I love scouring hardware stores, dollar stores, and thrift stores for unique items I can repurpose. My favourite place to craft shop is at what I lovingly call junky dollar stores. They have the most random selection and sometimes you can find some real gems.

RB: What is your all-time favourite project that you've worked on?
SDC: That's a tough one! If I had to pick I'd say the DIY hanging diamond decor I made for Sugar and Cloth. Since then I've made miniature ones and include all the supplies with my business cards.

RB: Where do you see Snowdrop and Company in the next five years?
SDC: If in five years I'm still creating DIYs I'll be happy - I really love it! I'm also working on holding craft workshops and selling preassembled DIY craft kits.
