A few Sundays ago we held a party for my daughter's third birthday - a Lemonade Stand party! Luck was with us weather-wise, as it was beautiful and sunny. The perfect summer-like day to sip lemonade!
As you already know, we love event decor around here, and kid's birthday parties are just so much fun to plan and decorate. We welcomed our guests with these cute yellow pinwheels on the lawn. Twirling in the breeze, these seemed to get the kids pretty excited!
And speaking of excited, here are my little lemons very rambunctious and eager for guests to arrive.
Inspired by a tutorial on Pinterest, I created this simple lemon balloon garland with balloons, twine and painter's tape.
A view of the yummy lemonade-and-cuppie table.
These lemonade cupcakes were inspired by another Pinterest tute and were made to resemble little cups of lemonade. I was proud to finally learn how to ice cuppies properly after all these years!
Birthday girl approved.
Miss F's annual birthday poster.
Another tablescape waiting for the food to arrive. We kept it pretty simple with some pizza from a favourite local pizzeria and salads.
Favourite photos from the year were taped with yellow washi tape to a chalkboard door.
The lootbags contained various lemony items (lollipop, lemonade Nerds, scratch and sniff stickers), as well as a little pencil crayon set, some colour-in paper puppets, and bubbles.
The kids played happily in our backyard on our playset, in the sandbox and on a jumping castle while munching pizza and cupcakes. Was it a success? Yep! This little lady had a ton of fun at her third birthday party which is the whole point of it all, right?!
